1st Parsons’ Quensha Woman In Love At Bransett B 264 (Res BOB)

At 2 years 4 months, this bitch presents a lovely elegant balanced outline with a pleasing head and kind, melting and intelligent expression. Ears set on just below level of eyes and of correct size. Good pigmentation and dark eyes and has a small patch of white on her forechest. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, deep in chest with well-muscled and strong level top-line. Well set tail, just below level of back and well bent stifles and excellent width of thigh. Moved out well. Please to award her Reserve Best of Breed.

2nd Box’s Fernstart Heart’s Desire B 260

At 22 months old I loved this bitch as she entered the ring, having good bone and maturity. She is slightly larger all over than my winner, but very well-muscled and has lovely tight feet. Again, she moved out really well but due to a misplaced tooth was placed second today.

1st Cole’s Riverbrue Ophelia Bobby D 261 (BOB)

A 4-year-old dog dripping in deep chestnut coat & feathering. He has a beautiful head with dark almond eye and good pigmentation. He also has correct set on of ear. He has a well-boned straight front and lovely tight feet. He has a correct shaped deep chest, good strong muscled top-line, well-bent stifles and well-let down hocks; overall a very balanced outline. He is an excellent mover and I was pleased to award him Best of Breed.

2nd Parsons’ Forfarian Flutt’r Yer Lashes At Bransett B 263

This 5½ yr old bitch is quite well made but doesn’t have the depth of chest I would prefer to see. She has a straight front but not the profuse coat of my winner. She has good stifles and straight back pasterns, good feet and moved quite well over the rough ground.

1st Hill’s Clavaire Orange Rose With Princehill B 345 (BP & Gundog Puppy Group-4)

This 9½ month old orange and white puppy bitch took my eye when she entered the ring. She has excellent forehand construction, good bone and substance. She exhibited a confident presence in the ring. She has a correct square muzzle and clean chiselled skull and excellent pigmentation. Good reach of neck into level topline and balanced hind-quarters. Moved out extremally well. Please to award her Best Puppy & Gundog Puppy Group 4.

2nd Boole’s Plaiglen Ziggy’s Star Of Arramow D 333

Another very well-made cocker puppy; this time a black & white ticked 9-month-old male. He has many of the attributes of my first-place winner and he carried his tail very well. Not moving quite as well as my first place today.

1st Brothwell’s Annilann Da Business at Wissant JW D 334

A 17-month old black & white male who is balanced and moved soundly, with a well carried tail – very merry on the move. An overall quality dog, well sprung in rib with the neatest of feet and was presented to perfection.

1st Randall’s Fengrange Defender Boy D 353 (BOB)

A 2½ year old black & white male. He has a masculine head, good pigment, well set ears, a cleanly chiselled skull onto good length of neck. He has an excellent lay back of shoulder and correct upper arm. His fore and aft angulation are well balanced; so his hindquarters are equally superb. He is well off for bone and was presented in beautiful silky coat, well feathered legs and lovely tight round feet. Pleased to award him Best of Breed.

 2nd Brown’s Popebel Limited Edition B 336 (Res BOB)

A 2 ½ year old black & white bitch standing well today. She has a straight front, has a level top-line, good tail-set and is balanced throughout. Another good mover. Presented in excellent condition and handled very well. Pleased to award her Reserve Best of Breed.

A 5-year-old black and white compact bitch that moved true; with excellent hind action. She has a straight front, nice tight feet, level top-line, well-let down hocks and was presented in good coat. I note she is the dam to my reserve Best of Breed winner.

2nd Chativore Sea Pebble at Colmandakev B 339

Standing there is a lot to like about this three year old bitch with a very flashy silky coat. She has a very good silhouette and topline; and carried her tail well on the move. She was presented and handled very well but not moving as well as my first place today.

A 7-year-old black and white bitch who has a feminine head, flat cheeks but would prefer more fluting between the eyes. She has a straight front, good spring of rib and good hind-quarters. She is well off for bone and has neat feet. She was shown and handled well and in good fit condition. Reserve Best of Breed.

1st Osbourne’s Tiroen Typically Braego (KCJ) B 364 (BOB)

At 3 ½ yrs, this liver & white bitch with tan markings has good bone, a straight front, with elbows neither turning in nor out. She has adequate lay back of shoulders but would prefer more upper arm. She has a level topline with a correctly set low tail which she carried level on the move. She was my best mover today; a balanced exhibit. Best of Breed.

1st Wallington’s Ferndel Renzo at Rovinjdal D 372 (Res BOB)

This 3-year-old dog has a most beautiful head, which was not surprising when I learnt it was a Ferndel; so typical of this kennel. He was shown in tip-top condition with lovely round tight feet; and is well boned. He is balanced throughout but I would prefer a little more angulation fore and aft. He was presented in a rich red and white coat with excellent hind action. Reserve Best of Breed.

1st Thomas’ Sh Ch Bowdonia Truly Scrumptious B 371 (BOB)

A 5 yr old bitch that was handled by a young junior handler today. She has a feminine head of correct proportions onto a good reach of neck into well-laid shoulders and correct upper arm. She is well off for bone, has a level top-line and correct tail-set. This lovely exhibit has good width of thigh, with superb muscle tone. Well-let down hocks, straight back pasterns and a lovely ring presence. Worthy of being a show champion!!

Only one in this class, a 6-month-old Irish Red & White Setter that needs more time to settle, mature and show well. She is a feminine puppy with a pleasing broad head. She has a level top-line, well-let down hocks and straight back pasterns. She needs more depth of chest which, with time, should develop. Best Puppy & Reserve AVNSC.

1st Mercuri’s Weipowa Licence To Spy D 379 (BOB)

This 15 month old Wiemaraner Dog was a picture of balance!! He is very well muscled, has well arched feet and excellent muscle tone all over. Standing he has a good reach of neck, well-laid shoulders, adequate return of upper arm and correct bone. On the move he did not disappoint, covering the ground with ease. Please to award him Best AVNSC!

2nd Barrett’s Brewnel Barr By Stowledge D 376

At almost 13-months old, this brown roan Italian Spinone has a lot to like. He is well off for bone which is oval, has a good straight front with large round, front feet. He has well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. He has good rise to his hind-quarters, a good set on of tail and well-let down hocks but requires more muscle tone to improve his hind movement.

1st Adams’ Patouche Tartuffe D 374

Only one in this class, and unfortunately this 3-year-old black & white Brittany’s handler’s ankle gave way whilst on the move. Consequently, it was very difficult to assess this exhibit whilst it was handled by another. I would prefer more fore angulation. He has moderate bend of stifle, well-let down hocks, straight back pasterns and tight round feet.

1st Wilson’s Hameldowntor Music Of The Night VW B 277

A 10-year-old black Flatcoated retriever shown in fabulous shiney condition!! This girl exhibits a typical feminine head, set onto a good reach of neck, well laid shoulders, excellent return of upper arm, correct spring of rib, short coupled in loin, level top-line and superb hind quarters. She has lovely tight feet for her age, a strong straight front and back pasterns that were strong and straight on the move. She covered the ground with ease – A worthy winner!!

2nd Staley’s Jomeel Monkey Wrench D 253

A 9-year-old liver and white ticked German Shorthaired Pointer; again an exhibit in tip-top condition for its age. He presented with a clean, well-muscled outline; and was a balanced mover using both reach and drive.
