EDWINSTOWE & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY EASTER PREMIER OPEN SHOW 03/04/26 First of all I would like to thank the society for offering me the chance to judge NSDTR’s for the first time at their lovely show and to also thank my very capable steward Colin from whom I learnt a lot from as he allowed me to help him steward for the rest of the day. NOVA SCOTIA DUCK TOLLING RETRIEVERS PUPPY. ( 2, 1 abs ) First Place: Sewell’s Breakerswell Twiglet 9mth old nicely boned young lady in good coat with good muscle. Correctly proportioned pretty feminine head, nice shape and colour to her eyes and well balanced overall. A little hesitant on the move which I feel is down to confidence which will come in time. BPIB JUNIOR. ( 5,0 ) First Place: Powley’s Danehaven Morell a tough decision between 1st and 2nd but this 13mth old really caught my eye. Very well balanced throughout, good angulations at the front and back and moved soundly. Nicely boned for her age with a correct shaped head and eyes shown in a lovely coat mature looking for her age. Seriously considered her for best of breed awarded her RBOB Second place: Cross and Parfett’s Tollpepper Dawn’s Light so unfortunate to come up against first place as I really liked this girl too. Feminine head with lovely eyes, good reach of neck, balanced body, angulation correct front and back, moved very well. Not quite as mature as first but definitely will continue be a strong contender as she grows up. Third Place: Gregory’s Deltandamba Go West Reserve: Sewell’s Breakerswell Twiglet VHC: Powley’s Tiamaria Fire Opal At Danehaven POST GRADUATE. ( 4, 1 abs ) First Place: Surrel’s Danehaven Freshwater although not in the best of coat at the moment she had nothing to hide and once she settled this 5 year old girl moved the best in this class. Nice shape to her head, good length of neck, nicely balanced throughout and well muscled, cheerful natured enjoyed her day. Second Place: Hey’s Danehaven Deeks 3 year old boy in a lovely coat, nicely angled with good amount of muscle at the rear. Another happy character with correct eye shape and colour, moved well, still feel he has some maturing to do which some boys do tend to take their time over. Third Place: Sewell’s Littleclose From Me To You At Breakerswell LIMIT ( 2, 0 ) First Place: Powley’s Danehaven Exploits a 3 year old rather mature for boy his age with lovely bone and correct angulations throughout. Mature head with nice shape and colour to his eyes and in plenty of coat, strong neck leading to a good lay of shoulder and a good fore chest. Overall very nicely balanced and moved very well. Second Place: Sewell’s Littleclose From Me To You At Breakerswell lovely feminine head with correct bite and eye shape. Good muscle tone with a nice reach of neck, overall well balanced in nice coat. Not as good on the move as first place today. OPEN DOG ( 4,0 ) First Place: Danehaven Macdonalds a taller boy but still correct for the breed he creates a strong balanced outlook giving the impression he could do a good days work. Masculine head, well muscled on his neck and first and second thighs and well boned. As this 5 year old lad made moving around the ring look quite so effortless I was pleased to award him BOB Second Place: Gibson’s Delphox Guiser 2 1/2 year old boy in nice coat, correct bite, masculine head with good shape to his eyes and well angled front and back, well toned all over. Nice strong neck and fore chest and although his movement was correct he seemed a little sluggish today, too early in the morning for him perhaps! Third Place: Sewell’s Clegane Inferno To Breakerswell Reserve: Gregory’s Exetollers What’s This ( INTRO EX ) OPEN BITCH ( 1,0 ) First Place:Collin’s and Powley’s Sh Ch Deveron Dutchess of Danehaven this 7 year old maturer lady certainly kept her handler on her toes today! Moved correctly when she finally settled, classic head shape, good muscle tone in nice coat, another happy character.
