Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Critiques

I was delighted to judge Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for the first time at Blackpool & Fylde Toy Dog Society, a breed I have owned all my life. Thank you to my wonderful exhibitors for their entries and to the fantastic stewards and committee for putting on such a friendly, well organised and professional show.

Class 45 - Puppy (4,1)

1st LEAVER & GRESTY’S REVAELANN GIFT FROM HEAVEN

Almost 7 months old, friendly Tricolour puppy bitch, almost flat skull, large dark round eyes and level top line. Good size and spring of rib, well broken up coat, with tan in the right places and in good condition. Very attentive to handler. Happy to award BP, well done!

2nd TYLER’S REVAELANN JUST LIKE HEAVEN

Tricolour puppy dog, nearly 7 months old & litter mate to the class winner. Happy puppy in the ring with handler, large dark eyes, scissor bite and level top line. Coat in good condition. Not a great deal between 1st and 2nd place just preferred the slightly larger profile of the winner on the day.

Class 46 - Junior (4,3)

1st LENIHAN’S FENNYFARE LITTLE PARIS

16 months old Blenheim bitch with silky, rich chestnut & pearly white coat with lozenge. Gentle expression and friendly, large dark round eyes, high set ears with neck a little shorter in length. Good moderate bone, muscle tone and spring of rib. Level top line, with nice cushioned feet & feathering. Moved well.

Class 47 - Post Graduate (9,6)

1st TAYLOR’S LUVTAYL'S MILLION DREAMS JW

Beautiful Blenheim dog, 18 months old with a well broken up silky coat. Slightly larger in frame but well balanced with drive. Good scissor bite and high set ears. Good movement and maintained a level topline. Tail on set and good turn of stifle. Feet well cushioned with feathering.

2nd LEAVER & GRESTY’S REVAELANN ROCKY ROAD

19 month old, slightly heavier marked friendly Blenheim boy who moved well and was attentive to handler. Large dark round eyes, strong jaw and good scissor bite. Maintained a level top line on the move with good tail set. Silky coat with good feathering on cushioned feet and legs.

Class 48 - Open (7,5)

1st TAYLOR’S REVDVICKI HEAVENLY CHANCE LORANKA

Four year old, well balanced Tricolour dog with glossy heavier marked, silky coat. Good size & nice front assembly, gentle expression, long ears set high, shallow stop and scissor bite. Skull almost flat. Short coupled body, good turn of stifle & tail set. Maintained a level top line, good rear angulation and moved very well with drive in the ring. Very pleased to award BOB and was later awarded, BIS G4 – well done!

2nd TAYLOR’S LUVTAYL REACH OUT IN FAITH

Five year old Tricolour bitch, well balanced with a level topline. Slighter heavier in frame with a super glossy, blanketed coat. Sweet, gentle expression, large dark round eyes, shallow stop and scissor bite with good feathering and cushioned feet. Moved well, just preferred the movement of the class winner on the day.
