 Huntingdonshire Canine Society – 15th August 2026 – Judge Sarah Hattrell

Best in show was awarded to the King Charles Spaniel Ch.Baldragon Russian Around With Khatibi, this little lady stole the show from a super quality line up of dogs, full of breed type and so right for shape and size, in immaculate condition, she has a very pretty head, eye and expression, clean neckline into an excellent forehand, ideal topline and tail set with strong well made quarters, one I have previously given a toy group too so no stranger to me, she is a fabulous mover from all directions and could not be denied the top place today.

Reserve Best in show the Chow Chow Newfangled Buckee Burr, a new one to me but caught my eye on his lovely shapely outline, typical head with required breed features, he has a short level back with correct tail set and carriage, neck strong and well set on shoulders, broad deep chest with well sprung ribs, correct hindquarters with hocks well let down, very well presented in good coat and condition, moved so well with typical breed gait.

3rd BIS The Leonberger Debbollinby Time Lord By Lionsridge JW Quality dog with so much to admire making a lovely outline of the breed on the stack, handsome head with kind expression, strong neck with slight arch, well made through forehand, strong and powerful quarters with moderate bend of stifle, in ideal body condition with an excellent double coat, he has sound ground covering movement maintaining his level topline.

4th BIS The Jack Russell Terrier Laserna Captain Crash JW Super smart little chap making the most of himself, loved his cheeky attitude, sturdily built, liked his head and keen expression, scored in outline, well made all though, so well presented and in hard body condition, moved out freely with strides of good length and plenty of drive from the rear.

Best Puppy in show The Miniature Schnauzer Risepark Shining Star, What a little star she is, I am told she already has a CC under her belt and I am sure she will title easily, nearly square she presents an ideal silhouette, right for size and substance, she has a glorious head piece with dark oval eyes, slight arch to neck sits firmly on an excellent front assembly with visible forechest, firm topline with correct tailset and carriage, strong quarters, she has a harsh wiry banded coat which is expertly presented.

Reserve Best Puppy in show The English Springer Spaniel Moontorn Drops of Jupiter With Fecimus, Handsome young male with an eyecatching outline, right for size and substance, well built all though with good head properties and kind expression, strong and muscular neck with slight arch, straight forelegs well boned and elbows close to body, he has a deep chest with well sprung ribs, excellent hindquarters, well presented and handled, he came into his own on the move and claimed his place in this super puppy selection.

3rd BPIS The Beagle Davricard Artemis, pretty and feminine she caught my eye with her lovely make and shape so right for size, loved her head and appealing expression, good length of neck with slight arch sits cleanly on a well made forehand, she holds a level topline, ribs well sprung and carried back, well bent stifles and correct tail set and carriage, moved out well with good reach in front and drive from her rear, short dense coat and earnt her place here

4th BPIS The King Charles Spaniel Khatibi’s Night Howl, Smart puppy who scored for type, size and movement, good head properties with pleasing expression, medium neck with good head carriage, shoulders well laid back with back short and level, stifles well bent with well let down hocks, free and active on the move and another I am told already has a CC under his belt.

Best Veteran In Show The Schipperke ChSchipdale A Kind of Magic ShCex, One I have judged before and awarded a CC/BOB, he is an outstanding example of his breed in my opinion, he never stands wrong, nice for size and in immaculate condition belying his age, he has a correct coat pattern for the breed, lovely head, eye, ears and expression, so well constructed fore and aft and makes a lovely outline on the stack, his movement is textbook and I was delighted to see him again.

Reserve Best Veteran in Show The Cesky Terrier Ch.Komidion Prima Donna of Sametova ShCex VW, Another lovely example of the breed and showing no signs of age, scores in head and expression, firm and well knit body with correct topline, she makes a lovely outline on the stack and comes into her own on the move being brisk and vigorous as the standard calls for and well deserved her place here.

3rd BVIS The King Charles Spaniel Ch.Cofton All I Hav To Do is Dream With Khatibi ShCex, handsome little chap full of quality and earned his place in this fabulous veteran line up, all champions and showing their hearts out, he is the correct size with a lovely head and expression, right for neck and front assembly, firm topline with correct tail set, well made quarters, super mover up and down and in profile.

4th BVIS The Swedish Vallhund Ch.Starvon Binit Sinit Dunit With Kirkholme, Most attractive specimen of this breed, right for size and outline, she came into this line up showing her socks off and demanding to be noticed, scores in outline, attractive head and expression, well made all through and in fine coat and condition.

1)Stuhldreers Pumiden Miep Gies For Widowmaker, Hungarian Pumi, 5 yr old, nice for size, feminine head with neat ears set on high with tips bending forward, slight arch to neck with well laid shoulder, she is square in outline, well balanced fore and aft, moderate hind angulation, well presented curly coat, moved out with light short striding steps.

1)Henshaw-Woods Ch.Magikus Belatrix Black VW, Hungarian Puli, this lovely Puli stood out to me for her sheer quality, right for size and substance with a profuse well presented corded coat, so good to go over under her coat, she scored heavily on her lovely movement, super head and expression, loved her and not surprised to see she is titled.

2)Dennis’ Silverweis Sparkler, Weimaraner, I really liked this lovely girl, so well made all through, feminine head with good expression, lengthy neck flowing cleanly into a well made forehand with level topline, deep chest with ribs well sprung, well turned stifle and well let down hocks, correct tail set and carriage. Moving out with effortless ground covering movement, short smooth coat, lovely showgirl

2)Colliers Michandy Game Changer, Min Poodle, Black, attractive young male making a nice outline on the stack, long lean refined head with typical poodle expression from his dark twinkling eyes, good length of neck held proudly, back short and strong with slight hollow, he has well bent stifles. Well presented and handled to get the best from him.

1)Thomas Ch Bowdonia Truly Scrumptious, Welsh Springer Spaniel, She headed this lovely class full of worthy champions, so feminine and nice for size, she makes a lovely shape on the stack, scored in head and expression, firm in topline, so well presented and handled, she didn’t put a paw wrong, excellent mover in all directions.

2)Crow & Sprys Ch.Petwalk Naked Attraction, Chinese Crested, beautiful feminine CC with all the breed essentials, love her make and shape, so right for size, expertly presented, she moved and showed so well securing her place in this super class.
