AV PUPPY STAKES

 

1. Saunders/Newton’s Corotine Velvet Tuxedo. 8½ month old Pointer, correct head proportions, good reach of neck, balanced throughout, strong top-line, excellent feet and pasterns, impressive gait.

2. Jeavons’ Grandgenes Panning For Gold. 9 month old Shetland Sheepdog male, super head and expression, shown in full coat and excellent condition, good bone, well angulated, correct feet and pasterns, moved well in profile.

3. Burgon’s Talraz Drumbeat for Lyngem. Bearded Collie.

 

AV JUNIOR STAKES

 

1. Burgon’s Talraz Drumbeat for Lyngem. Bearded Collie, 11 month old male, a little loose on the move at this stage but balanced with a strong top-line and impressive profile movement.

2. Morrow’s Ruember’s Rose To Fame. 14 month old Labrador Retriever, lovely head and expression, well set shoulders, correct top-line, tail set and carriage, good feet and pasterns, nice prospect.

3. Mackfall/McIntosh’s Africaner Zavanna Breeze JW. Rhodesian Ridgeback.

 

AV POST GRADUATE STAKES

 

1. Vockings’ Bellehoud Tipple at Portunes JW. 3 year old Dalmatian bitch, which in profile shows all the balance and attributes of a functional endurance dog, correct head proportions, shown in good condition, good shoulder giving good reach on the move supplemented by the drive from behind, correct tail set and carriage, correct feet and pasterns.

2. Bird/Caden’s Moving On Up to Molson. 18 month old male Shetland Sheepdog, attractive head and expression, shown in good coat and condition, sound on the move.

3. Thompson-Binks’ Dalamanti Morning Sunshine. Dalmatian.

AV OPEN STAKES

 

1. Holmes/McBain’s Ch. Polar Light Pride of America JW (imp USA). Very nice 3 year old Pyrenean Mountain Dog bitch, feminine head and expression with well set shoulders, good angulation fore and aft, shown in full coat and in hard condition, absolutely sound ground covering gait, excellent example of the breed.

2. Fawcett’s Starjanda Mr Bright Sky. 2½ year old OES shown and handled to advantage, excellent on the move and a good example of the breed.

3. Hunt/Oliver’s Songshijia Kwangchow JW. Chow Chow.

 

AV MR/MRS CRAGGS OPEN STAKES

 

1. Fawcett’s Starjanda Mr Bright Sky. Repeat.

2. Phoenix’s Ch. Nordicwinds Grtest Showman JW ShCEx OSW. Alaskan Malamute. This exhibit has much to commend him but was more than a handful on the day, as much foreface as I would like but well angulated and powerful throughout, good bone, feet need a little condition.

3. Arkley’s Amethrickeh Perfect Spirit. Shetland Sheepdog.

 

AV MEMBERS OPEN STAKES

 

1. Vockings’ Portunes Whatsername. 18 month old female Dalmatian, good feminine head, moderate throughout without exaggeration, good reach and drive on the move.

 

BEST IN SHOW

 

Robson’s Kalimor Nancy at Robricci JW. 4 year old Weimaraner bitch who was a picture in profile on the stand, excellent angulation fore and aft, shown in hard condition, good feet and pasterns, parallel on the out and back and an excellent ground covering gait in profile, worthy BIS.

 

RESERVE BEST IN SHOW

 

Marsden’s Jayneze Doctor Jimmy at Midlife. Staffordshire Bull Terrier. 20 month old male, shown in good coat and condition with full of vim and vigour on the day, good dark eye, correct skull proportions, strong jaw, powerful shoulders and balanced on the stand, parallel movement on the out and back, well handled and presented.

 

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW

 

Turnbull/Clegram/Bridges’ Liskarn You Never Know with Jenkova. Australian Shepherd. 10 months old male, good masculine head and the angulation and structure to do a day’s work, moved with a free ground covering gait, a little loose on the free stand in front on the day but this will come together in time.

 

RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW

 

Short’s Collooney Señorita Sisi. 7 month old Whippet bitch, a delightful youngster shown to advantage on the day, moved with a free parallel and ground covering gait, balanced throughout and a good prospect.

  

BEST VETERAN IN SHOW

A wonderful line up of veteran exhibits.

 

Gilchrist’s Ch. Black ’n Blues Name of The Game at Silkata CJW14 (imp DK). Approaching 13 years of age, quite an extraordinary exhibit retaining his profuse corded coat, this male continues to be strong and sturdy on the stand with a pleasing disposition, correct head proportions, well laid shoulders and well muscled hindquarters, excelled on the move.


RESERVE BEST VETERAN IN SHOW

 

Walshaw’s Ch. Janmark Back T’ Black. 8½ years old Manchester Terrier, full of quality and shown to advantage, particularly on the move where she was foot perfect on the out and back and in profile, remains a credit to the breed.
