Kirkintilloch, Lenzie & District Canine Society

16th April 2026

German Shorthaired Pointer – Graduate (1)

1st Wilkinson’s Zarozinia Carn Tuile, 14 month with a feminine head of good proportions. Stands on good legs and tight, well-arched feet. Liked her height to length proportions and overall balance, moved well

German Shorthaired Pointer – Limit (3)

1st Angus &Ashley’s Edelmidpoint Native River Through Calmerell JW, mature dog presents a clean, balanced outline, stands on well boned legs and tight feet, deep well-sprung ribs, short in loin, good bend and width to hindquarters, moved with precision and drive. BOB

2nd Taits Benboee Beeloved, 2 year old with a feminine head, and eye of good shape and colour, straight front with enough forechest.

3rd Zarozinia Carn Tuile

German Shorthaired Pointer – Open (1)

Tair’s Benboee Beelieve, Stands on good legs and feet, deep, well-sprung body, well angulated hindquarters, with good width across the thigh. Just preferred the the proportions of limit winner in the challenge.

Hungarian Vizsla – Open (5)

1st Mason &Clubb’s Oroshaza Bumble Bee JW TP23. Won here on her sound movement and clean outline. Feminine head of good proportions, good length of neck into a good forehand with straight front. , BOB

2nd Mason, Cluibb, & Clubb Oroshaza Liucy Locket, 7 year old and very much the same stamp as her kennel mate, Presenta a balanced outline I felt just not quite as clean over the shoulder line as 1. Stands on good legs and feet, showed well but not the accuracy of 1 on the move.

3rd Murray & Parker’s True Magic of Skyrocket at Szelkiraly JW

Irish Setter – Graduate (1)

1st Davie’s Zimra Della Magna Sia At Lochera, 9 months, and a little bewildered with the experience today. Had a feminine expression with dark eyes of good shape. Needs time to develop into her frame. BP

Irish Setter – Open (2)

1st Sturrock’s Forfarian Fancy Me JW, feminine botch with a classic head and expression; arched neck flows into her firm, slightly sloping topline, deep body, well-ribbed back, strong loin, hindquarters are well angulated and good finish to her croup. I would have liked slightly more enthusiasm (but not as much as 2!) on the move, but she was sound and accurate. BOB

2nd Allan’s Glencarron Show Must Go On JW, beautifully presented dog in excellent coat and condition. Presents a lovely balanced picture standing. Poses a masculine head with the softest of expression, excellent legs and feet to go over has much to like, but today, sadly, he was full of himself and couldn’t settle on the move.

Gordon Setter

Open (3, 1 ab)

1st Bell’s Bonniekel Beinn Corraodail, of Blairbells, an upstanding dog, of good size and balance; head is masculine but with no hint of coarseness; strong neck into well laid shoulders. Straight front, neat feet and good bone. Body is deep and mature. His angulation front and back are balanced, which shows in his true, effortless movement where he maintains his topline and tail slashes in line with his back. BOB, Group 4,

2nd Miller’s Cafqtaljena Heart Of a Hero., built on a smaller frame, has a very pleasing head of good proportions, scores in body, but not the front of 1. Lovely rich, clear tan markings, in good coat and condition.

Pointer

I was disappointed in the quality of this breed today with many lacking bone, substance and type.

Graduate (6, 3ab)

1st Scotland’s Daleddancer Victor McDade, PO/W dog is clean in outline, fair head with a decent dish appearance, straight in front and deep, well-arched feet. He moved the best of the entry today. BOB

2nd Collins Millpoint Spread Your Wings Over Vabisbrae, Just over a year old, and needs time to grow into her frame.

3d Anderson Rowell’s Daleddancer Frances Mullen

Open (2, 1ab)

1st Collins Rionmore Hermia Of Vabisbrae, rising 2-year-old dog, who was in good condition and moved fairly well.

Spaniel (Clumber)

Open (2, 2ab)

1st Nixons’ Stonielea Williams Charm At Glenbrutti, Substantial 2 year old who scores overall for type, body, and height-to-length proportions. Masculine head set on strong neck and good forehand. On the move he was accurate with drive and maintained his level topline. BOB

Italian Spinone

Open (3, 2ab)

1stc Lawton Quebaikei Accossato For Oaklaw, Feminine bitch with a lovely head and eye, good length of neck set into well-laid shoulders and return of upperarm., Mature and deep in body. In good coat and condition. Moved soundly but could have more drive and animation today. BOB

Weimaraner

Another very disappointing breed today.

Graduate

1st Duffy’s Minstergate Horizon, 10 month lad who gave his handler a hard time today, but he won here comfortably. Needs to mature into his frame but he is of a good size and ideal breed proportions. Pleasing head and eye, his front is straight and has good legs and feet. Body developing well and he has correct width and bend of stifles let down into short, strong hocks, tail well set. On the move he was sound coming and going, if not fully in unison with his handler, but that will come. BOB and BP

Limit (3, 2ab)

1st Jamieson Greyspirit Kept Me Waiting, dog with a good depth of chest and ribbed well back, stands on good, well boned legs, but feet could be neater. Very erratic on the move today

 Open (4, 2ab)

1st Cairns Lamarig Silver Huntsman JW, 4 year old dog who is strong, well-muscled with balanced confirmation, and moves soundly, but apart from being grey lacks type of a Weimaraner.

2nd Mcmahon’s Ir Sh Ch Silverkelvin Jupiter Over Magdala JW, has breed type and pleasing overall shape, but today his rear movement severely let him down.

Retriever (Labrador) –

Junior (4, 1ab)

1st Tulloch & Thorpes Tullochmhor Thyme To Shine, black, who immediately caught my eye on first look round. In superb condition, she presents a super clean outline on the stack, with every part balanced and flowing into the next. Her head is beautifully feminine, of correct proportions with a kind eye, excellent legs and the very best of tight round feet, excellent forechest, spring and depth to her ribs, her hindquarters are equally excellent with bend and width across first and second thigh. Excellent otter tail ideally set, she moves with power and drive. I loved her.

2nd Givan’s Sudeo In For A Penny, 10-month black bitch with much to like. She is very much ‘one piece’ with all parts in balance and fitting seamlessly together. Is well made all through and has good with across her backend. Correct coat and moved soundly both front and back. BP and PG2

1st Tulloch’s Sh Ch Binnaig Sea The Stars Over Tullochmoor. He made the long drive to judge this show worth it. Stunning dog with all the finish, quality and class you could wish for. In rock solid condition. Super clean in outline, masculine head with a keen, kind expression, crested neck into beautifully laid-back shoulders, excellent angle and return of upperarm; his front is perfectly straight with a real quality and finish right down to his well-arched feet, Big barrell ribs of excellent depth and well-ribbed back, short strong loin. Solid, level topline. Perfect backend with the right amount of bend and width across his thighs down into his short hocks, His thick otter tail is perfectly set and carried; his coat is short, thick with good undercoat. He eats up the ground with power and drive. His kennel mate was the only one that came close to him today. BOB and G1
