Thank you to the hard-working committee for putting on such a lovely show to judge. As always, my thanks also go to all the exhibitors for entering and for presenting their dogs so well. My steward was excellent and kept the ring moving.

Bracco Italiano

Puppy

1st – Sladden, Braccorion’s Eye Candy At Canemamans

A very smart puppy bitch with lots to like. Highlights for me were her overall balance, good head planes, well-laid shoulders and strong rear construction. She moved with a super side gait, showing good promise for the future. A very promising youngster. RBOB & BP.

Special Yearling

1st – Sladden, Canemamans Final Blow

Another nice bitch, although just slightly longer in body than my ideal. Good straight front, well-laid shoulders and a correct topline. Head is still developing, as would be expected at this age. Moved well with an open side gait.

A quality male with a masculine head, good length, pronounced occiput and slight stop. Good depth of chest and width through the well-angulated thighs. Stands a little wide in front, although has good feet. Very well muscled and moved well, with plenty of power from behind and a fast, purposeful trot. BOB.

1st – Kubickova, Great By Lucky Your Love Is A Miracle

A very attractive puppy bitch with plenty of breed type and a lovely feminine expression. Good foxy head, with large ears set high and correctly carried, dark eyes and good pigmentation. Good proportions overall, with a pleasing length of rib and a level topline. Front construction is good and she has a nice overall balance for her age. Moved freely and actively, showing good use of both front and rear. Tail was carried above the back, but this is a very promising puppy with plenty of qualities to develop. BPIB & RBOB

Special Yearling

1st – Kubickova, Great By Lucky Glow Eternal

A pretty, feminine bitch with a very pleasing foxy head and good expression. Ears well set and carried, with a good eye and pigmentation. Nice length of neck leading into a level topline. Good straight front with well-laid shoulders, giving a pleasing overall front assembly. Good rear construction and plenty of drive behind. Moved freely with a good, active gait and maintained her topline well on the move. Was initially hesitant with her tail, but relaxed as she moved

2nd – Coates, Durrcor Luna Eclipse

A stronger, more substantial bitch than my first. Good head with a round, full eye and pleasing expression. Neck could be a little longer to improve the overall balance. Would prefer a better finish to the muzzle, particularly from the profile. Good body and rib, with strong rear quarters and good angulation. Moved well, with good freedom and drive from behind.

A very smart male with excellent breed type and a super expression. Lovely foxy head with well-placed ears and good overall proportions. Particularly impressed with his front construction, which is a real strength. Good shoulder placement and a level topline, with a well-developed body and good rib. Rear quarters are strong and well angulated, with the short rear legs giving the correct characteristic outline. Good feet and sound overall construction.

Moved freely and actively, showing good thrust from the front legs and plenty of drive from behind. Maintained his topline well whilst moving and carried his tail correctly. A very pleasing male who combines good type with sound construction and excellent movement. BOB.

Tibetan Terrier

Puppy

1st – Thomas, Kelmorespitz Dark Majic – BP

A very nice male puppy with a lovely square outline and plenty of breed type. Strong topline, which he held well both standing and on the move. Good straight front with well-laid shoulders and a good ribcage carried well back. Nice overall balance and proportions for his age. Good neck leading into the shoulders and a pleasing head and expression.

Moved with a smooth, free stride, using himself well and showing good drive behind. Tail set high and carried correctly. A very promising young male with lots to like and plenty of time to develop. BP.

2nd – Kemp, Yanlan Mojo

A pretty bitch puppy with a lovely feminine expression and good overall breed type. Slightly longer in body than my first, but still nicely balanced. Carried her head well whilst moving and showed good freedom of action behind. Good topline, which she maintained well on the move, and carried her tail correctly. A nice young bitch who should develop well with maturity.

Special Yearling

1st – Lay-Furrie, GSER Jinpa Namkha To Gajarkot

Nearly two years old and developing into a very nice bitch. Good head with pleasing proportions, a strong muzzle and good underjaw. Nice expression and good overall breed character. Well-laid shoulders and a good front assembly, with strong, well-muscled rear quarters.

Good body proportions and topline, which she maintained well when moving. Moved well with good freedom and drive from behind. Coat is a little woolly at the moment, but this is a should improve with maturity and presentation.

Limit

1st – Thomas, Kelmorespitz Love N’War

A quality bitch with a lovely square outline and pretty, feminine expression. Good head with a nice stop and strong underjaw. Sufficient length and strength of neck, leading nicely into well-placed shoulders. Particularly impressed with her front construction, which gives her a strong and balanced outline.

Good body proportions with a level, strong topline. Well-muscled rear quarters and good overall balance. Moved out very well, with good freedom and drive, while maintaining her topline. Shown in very good coat with correct tail carriage. A very pleasing bitch with sound construction and excellent breed type.

Open

1st – Buckles, Karshok Amra Jestsang – BOB

A lovely quality male and an excellent example of the breed. Square outline with a masculine expression and a very good head. Strong muzzle, good proportions and excellent overall balance. Beautiful neck leading smoothly into the shoulders, giving a lovely front assembly and characteristic outline.

Compact, well-muscled body with good substance and strong rear quarters. Elbows close and good large feet. Particularly impressed with his movement — effortless, free and balanced, with excellent coordination between front and rear. Maintained his topline beautifully on the move and showed excellent drive.

Shown in a profuse, well-presented coat and with correct tail carriage. A very impressive male who combined breed type, sound construction and movement. BOB.

2nd – Thomas, Layoli Path Finding Majic

Another quality male, this time a veteran, and still showing many excellent qualities. Similar comments apply regarding his overall construction and breed type. Particularly loved his head and expression, with good masculine character and a strong muzzle.

Very well muscled throughout and retaining good body and overall structure for his age. Good square outline and sound construction. Movement was true and he showed good freedom, but unfortunately he just wasn't giving his all today and lacked some of the enthusiasm and effort of my first. Nevertheless, a lovely veteran male with much to admire and clearly retaining his quality.

Umfreville, Barnesmore Betelgeuse At Voyshka

A very pleasing, well-muscled 5-year-old male with an excellent overall outline and balance. Particularly good topline and underline, giving him the elegant, flowing silhouette required in the breed. Lovely small, fine ears and a masculine, well-proportioned head, with a soft and intelligent expression. Good length of neck and excellent width and development through the thigh, giving plenty of strength behind. Shown in good coat and excellent condition. A lovely male who combined elegance with substance and soundness. BOB.

Cutter & Lubin, Ina’s Fashion Halo Over Chosovi (IMP DEU)

A very nice bitch with a good overall outline and excellent balance. Correct head proportions, with good length and refinement, and a lovely long neck which is well placed into the shoulders. Very good shoulder construction, although I would ideally like a little more layback . Super front, with good straight legs and sound feet. Lovely gentle rise over the topline and a good, powerful rear assembly. Well-muscled without losing the elegance. Moved extremely well, with good reach, freedom and efficiency, covering the ground easily. A very attractive and balanced bitch. BOB.

Ball, Boughton Back in Time

A very nice bitch with a pretty, feminine head, good length and a good underjaw. Lovely long neck, correctly placed into well laid-back shoulders, giving a pleasing front assembly and overall outline. Well muscled throughout, with particularly good substance for a bitch while retaining her Greyhound elegance. Good topline and underline and a sound, balanced construction. Moved well and showed herself to advantage. I simply preferred the overall package and balance of 1st. RBOB.

Ball, Bathway Storn RAF

What a lovely male and a pleasure to judge. He has a super disposition and, being relatively new to the show world, handled himself extremely well both standing and moving. Lovely head with good proportions and a kind, intelligent eye. Excellent neck and overall outline, with very good musculature throughout. Particularly pleasing hindquarters and good strength through the second thigh. He demonstrated his construction very well in movement, showing good reach, drive and freedom while maintaining the effortless quality expected of the breed. A lovely athletic Greyhound who combines working qualities with excellent show-ring presence.

Philips, Alexia Lyonesse

1st A lovely young bitch of very good size and substance, with strong bone and a very attractive feminine expression. Good head, with a strong underjaw and good overall proportions. Excellent neck and shoulder construction, with balanced angulation front and rear. Good topline and underline, with a strong body and good substance without losing her athletic quality. Good feet and a pleasing overall outline. Moved very well, showing good reach and drive and maintaining her balance throughout. Very nice bitch to go over, with good construction, substance and breed type. BOB.

Special Yearling — 2nd

A strong, masculine male with very good bone and substance. Lovely straight front and good feet, standing correctly and presenting a strong, sound outline. Good broad head with a strong muzzle and good underjaw. Excellent neck and shoulder placement, with a good overall balance of front and rear angulation. Very good body and loin, with plenty of strength and substance. Perhaps a little more head than I personally prefer, as I would like slightly more refinement while retaining the breed's required strength and power. Nevertheless, he was shown in super condition and moved very purposefully, with good reach and drive.

A very attractive feminine bitch with a lovely feminine head and expression. Good ear placement and a pleasing head profile, with good proportions and a strong underjaw. Excellent muscle and good bone and substance without becoming coarse. Good neck and shoulder placement, with a pleasing overall outline and balanced front and rear angulation. Very good body and loin, with sufficient strength for the breed. Moved with good reach and drive and showed herself well. A little close behind in movement, and I would like tighter, more compact feet,

Taylor, Williams & Williams — Bulldaxits Aramanis My Way — Standard Smooth Dachshund

A very promising young Standard Smooth Dachshund with a lovely overall outline. Good conical head with pleasing proportions and expression, and an excellent length of neck. Good forechest and long keel, giving the desired depth and substance through the front of the body. Good ground clearance and a parallel rear, with sound overall construction. Moved well, maintaining his balance and outline and showing good freedom of movement. A very nice puppy with plenty to like and good breed type.

2nd

Wood, BGVP

A lovely typey puppy with a very attractive overall outline. Shown in a harsh, good-quality jacket which added considerably to her presentation. Good head proportions and particularly lovely furnishings. Strong rear with good hindquarter development, which she used well on the move. Good overall balance and substance. Tail set little, she has plenty of breed character and showed herself very well.

Cooper — Ballaurens You Got It

A very attractive Whippet-type head, with a lovely flat skull, good proportions and a dark, expressive eye. Excellent long neck, sitting well into well-laid shoulders and giving a pleasing overall outline. Good topline and underline, although I would like a little more strength through the rear and hindquarters. Moved steadily and soundly, maintaining her balance and showing good construction. A lovely young bitch with good type and an attractive head and front assembly.

2nd

Wells — Katiesue’s Shotgun Fred

A promising young male with many of the qualities I liked in 1st. Good head with pleasing proportions and expression, and particularly nice depth through the chest. Good neck and shoulder placement with well-balanced angulation front and rear. Good topline and underline and a sound overall outline. Moved steadily and showed himself well. Very close to 1st and a pleasing young male with plenty of quality.

Wells — Selinko Stargazer

A nice male with a very attractive, curving outline and good overall balance. Good head and neck, with a pleasing front and straight forelegs. Correct underline and good body proportions, giving him a sound and functional outline. Particularly liked the way he held his topline on the move. Moved steadily, true and with good balance, maintaining his shape throughout. A very pleasing hound who presented a good overall package.

2nd

Martins — Bowdonia Go The Distance For Stalwart

A good male with a correct head, decent underjaw and lovely long neck, which is well placed into the shoulders. Good overall outline with a nice underline and pleasing body proportions. Good front and sound construction. Moved steadily and showed himself well, although he tended to drop his topline slightly when moving, which affected the overall outline in comparison with 1st.

Slack, Newton & Williams — Ch Rarjo Macduff Makin Waves With Megulcie JW — PWD

A super bitch with excellent breed type and shown in the very best of condition. Lovely head and expression, with excellent breed character. Good length of neck and a pleasing overall outline, with good balance throughout. Particularly impressed by her movement — she moved with great style, lovely reach and good drive, whilst retaining her balance and elegance. Good tail carriage and excellent presentation. A very smart champion who gave me a lovely combination of type, construction, condition and movement. A deserved winner.

2nd

Tarabad & Whitman — Ch Baldragon Russian Ariound With Khatibi

A quality bitch full of breed type and a very worthy Champion Stakes winner. Super head and expression with excellent breed character. Compact and cobby in construction, but still well balanced and very attractive overall. Particularly close to 1st and a difficult decision between two very good bitches. Her movement is an absolute joy — free, active and elegant, with good reach and drive and excellent balance. A lovely champion who was extremely close to the winner.
