Puppy (1)
1st Capille’s Lendever’s Time to Shine, 7 month old. Good body proportions. She was a little stunner, dark eye, flat skull, correctly set ears, short, strong neck, level topline, true, front and strong rear, moved with power. Best Puppy, BOB, Gundog Puppy Group 1
Junior (1)
1st Capille’s Lendever’s Man Among Men, dark eye, good body proportions. Muscular neck, straight in front and good strength in rear, moved with power.
German Shorthaired Pointers
Limit (2,1)
1st Brown & Burns, Magregor Super Nude around Pothouse, good length of neck, straight in front, good rear angulation, short in back, tight feet, moved soundly.
Open (1)
1st Brown & Burns, Sh Ch Magregor Four Letter Word for Pothouse, mature boy, good head & expression, correct upperarm, strong neck into well placed shoulders and level topline, with well bent stifles, moved soundly, doesn’t need anymore weight on him. BOB, Gundog Group 3.
Irish Setter
Limit (3,1)
1st Harrison’s Clonageera Summer Dreams at Millpoint JW, feminine and elegant, head is long, lean and balanced. Decent length of neck, gently, sloping topline. Good rear angulation. Sound mover. BOB
2nd Kassube & French Thendara Hot Diamond and Cararua, loved his head, kind expression and dark eyes, gently sloping topline, good rear angulation, he was erratic on the move and was difficult to assess on this surface.
Open (1)
1st Hignett-Capper, Capper, Kassube & French, Cararua Pearl of the North, good head and expression, decent length of neck, topline needs to strengthen a little, good rear angulation. I would like more weight on him. Moved okay, but needed a larger space to really stride out.
Weimaraner
Junior (2)
1st Longbottom’s Gunalt Wingman JW, very mature youngster, powerful throughout, good head, super length of neck, firm, level topline, deep in brisket, good angles, moved soundly, once he got going, but this ring did not suit the Weimaraners.
2nd Lewis’ Caleydene Otterburn, not the maturity of the winner, another nice type, good feet, decent front and rear angulation. Needed to relax a little more because he does have a nice shape, sound movement.
Limit (2,1)
1st West’s Gunalt Frequency by Hantu (AI) JW, good length of neck, decent angles, front and rear, moved soundly, topline was level when stacked but roached slightly on the move, good colour
Open (3,1)
1st Isherwood’s Sh Ch Gunalt Schweppes at Caleydene JW, upstanding male, balanced head, good expression. True in front with compact feet. Good length of neck, going into decent shoulders, level topline and good front and rear angulation. Moved soundly. BOB, Gundog Group 2
2nd West’s Sh Ch Gunalt Wavelength JW ShCEx OSW, I liked her, similar remarks as above, she had style and moved very soundly but I preferred the front and feet of the winner.
Retriever (Labrador)
Puppy (5,1)
1st Gordon-Smith, Bibby & Gordon-Smith’s Bruxinho Ginkgo Biloba, well put together, masculine boy, broad skull with a defined stop, correct eye colour, good pigment and a kind expression. His topline was level and his tail was carried correctly and of a nice shape. His rear angulation was good which gave him sound, powerful movement. Good, compact feet.
Best Puppy & Gundog Puppy Group 2
2nd Disley’s Acredam Magnum PI, 7 month male, this dog made me smile, he was so happy with life, it was a joy to see. His potential is there he is currently quite raw. His head needs to develop, including the stop, he has a good dark eye, super pigment, compact feet, a correct shape tail and carriage. He held a level topline, sound mover.
3rd Jones’ Lembas Willow at Serenjar
Junior (2)
1st Williamson’s Sharouns Gladys Friday, Balanced youngster, kind expression with a dark eye. Head needs to mature, but she has time. Shoulders laid back, strong topline. Very sound mover, with strength. Good angulations throughout.
2nd Gordon-Smith, Bibby & Gordon-Smith’s, Meadowline Whizz Bang at Bruxinho JW, loved her head and expression, super compact feet, lost out on front movement and overall balance, but she will continue to improve.
Limit (4,1)
1st. Smith’s Binnaig Sea Barnacle on Flyenpyg JW, masculine boy, full of himself and gave his handler a hard time. Dark eye with a kind expression, good pigment, correct, compact feet, sound moving dog. BOB
2nd Jones’ Lembas Tiana at Serenjar, moved soundly, preferred the overall strength of the winner, but she is an honest bitch.
3rd. Marshall’s Kenleap Saltburn Special
Open (5)
1st Baron’s Landebec Ventura JW, masculine head with broad skull, dark eye and kind expression. Moved soundly.
2nd Smith’s Flyenpyg Jurgen Chopp JW, movement let him down here. He has a good head and expression, short coupled with good angles, tight feet, in good condition.
3rd. Jones’ Willowrush Kersey Dusk at Serenjar

Puppy (2, 1)
1st: Bule’s Red Pepper Toller Victory Via Dreambig (Imp ITA) – A confident youngster with a good, straight front and excellent rear drive. Lovely head and expression, presented in super coat and condition. Moved soundly throughout. Best of Breed and Best Puppy.
2nd: Morse’s Sinsircariad Celtic Dragon – An immature youngster who has plenty of time on her side. Her head still needs to develop, and her rear requires further strengthening. She presented a pleasing profile.
Junior (4, 1)
1st: Bule’s Red Pepper Toller Victory Via Dreambig (Imp ITA).
2nd: Gregory’s Deltandamba Go West – Requires a little more maturity. Maintained a level topline, with balanced angulation, and moved soundly.
3rd: Morse’s Sinsircariad Celtic Dragon.
Limit (5, 2)
1st: Hall’s Briztollie Mamma Mia – Feminine head, presented in good coat and condition. Moved soundly with a balanced outline.
2nd Gregory’s Deltandamba Go West

Puppy (4,1)
1st Broomfield’s Glaneils Echo Beach, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, 7 month old, a very steady and settled youngster, standing on super feet, good depth, sound movement. Best Puppy
2nd. Kiely’s Debian Dionysus for Ruamadra, Hungarian Vizsla, 7 month old, good type, super head and expression, moderate throughout, moved soundly.
3rd. Rigby’s Glaneils Enjoy the Silence, Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Junior (4,1)
1st. Pugh’s Gellini Special Edition, Italian Spinone, balanced head, correct topline. Good depth and super substance, very sound mover.
2nd Bennion’s Menstonia Endless Dreams JW, WSS, lovely type, movement let him down but he had a change of handler which didn’t help him. Balanced head, good angles throughout, in lovely condition.
3rd. Rowley’s Canemamans Final Say, Bracco
Limit (7,3)
1st: Pipes & Groves Bushwacker Demetrio, Bracco Italiano. He is a lovely type and has a super shape. Great length of neck, decent layback of shoulder,. Good angulation, moved true with power. The ring wasn’t really suitable for this breed, but he coped well.
2nd: Woodhouse’s, Gadhelic Sunshine Girl at Halbadier, Lovely bitch with a beautiful head and expression. Strong rear movement and presented in good condition, just needs more coat to complete the picture.
3rd. Fazenfield & Smith’s Owlspoint Askin for Trouble, Bracco Italiano
Open (7,2)
1st. Tasker’s Zoldmali Ezmi (Imp SRB), Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla, a super, masculine but elegant male. He has a very masculine head and a moderate stop. Straight front, strong neck, going into decent shoulders with a super, strong topline. He is a balanced dog whose movement was so sound and true. He impressed me greatly and pulled out all the stops to beat some super dogs today. Best AVNSC & Gundog Group 1
2nd. Pipes & Groves’ Bushwacker Don Juan JW, close decision between these two, this boy had a very nice outline. Balanced head with a gentle expression. Strong, slightly arched neck, flowing into good shoulders. Well boned and standing on good feet, well-angulated hindquarters. moved soundly with good reach, not easy in these rings.
3rd. Broomfield’s Glaneils Count on Me, Chesapeake Bay Retriever
A V Gundog Veteran (16,1)
A super class, full of quality
1st Malin’s Sh Ch Keigame Murphlette at Benrae VW, GSP, a long time favourite of mine, still in excellent condition, true in front, balanced head with good length of neck, correct shoulders, level topline, Good depth and substance, correct angulation with powerful rear movement.
2nd. Gordon’s Hawkfield Audacity (ai) JW, Pointer, another favourite of mine, a beautiful type, so unlucky not to have gained his title. His head and expression scream Pointer, his front is true and his shoulders well back, topline firm and level, hindquarters strong with good angulation. Moved soundly.
3rd Bell’s Tolriver Enzo at Owlspoint, Bracco Italiano
