Great Dane

PD/B (2,0)

1. White’s Kinnegans Last Kingdom at Taradanes. 9 mth old fawn dog who pleased for overall type, is good for size, carries strong bone and presented a well balanced outline. Clean neck of good length, firm backline, good depth to brisket, well ribbed, muscular loin, correct croup and tail set. Masculine head of pleasing proportions, flat skull, excellent eyes for shape and colour, breadth to muzzle and scissor bite. Standing true in front on very good feet and pleasing in forechest. Pleasing action on the go around and carries himself well. Best Puppy.

2. Mikolajczyk-Bienieck’s Yangra Banshee. 6 mth old fawn bitch who is very much a baby and not entirely relaxed as you might expect. She pleased for type and presented a very nice outline with long, clean neck which is well arched, firm through the topline, rib developing well for age, correct croup and tail good for length, set and carriage. Feminine headpiece which is well proportioned, correct planes, eyes of good colour, correct underline to muzzle and scissor bite. She has pleasing angles front and rear but stands a little untidy in front and on the move she could be firmer coming towards, however she opens up well on the go around.

1. Pocock’s Lambrini A Girl Like Me at Tamzdane, 12 mth old mantle bitch of sound construction and presenting a nicely balanced outline. Well arched neck of good length which flows smoothly into well laid shoulders, firm through the topline, good depth to chest, ribbing well sprung, muscular loin, correct croup and tail pleased for set and carriage. Feminine head with good skull to muzzle proportions but not quite planes I was looking for, eyes of good colour, pleasing underline to muzzle and scissor bite. She stands well naturally and is well developed in forechest for age. Pleasing action all through.

2. Mikolajczyk-Bienieck’s Yangra Banshee

PGD/B (2,1)

1. Cope’s Fonblanque Fiona. 22 mth old harlequin bitch who was well handled here. Feminine throughout and carrying good bone, she pleased for overall outline and is well marked. Neck of good length which is well arched, firm topline, brisket reaching the elbows, pleasing rib, muscular loin, correct croup and tail good for length, set and carriage. Balanced headpiece with good planes, expressive eyes, good underline to muzzle and scissor bite. She has a pretty good forechest and stands on excellent feet. On the move she pleased fore and aft but in profile would like to have seen more drive from the rear.

1. White’s Jutlander’s Eat Your Heart Out at Taradanes JW. 21 mth old fawn bitch who has much to like. Totally feminine, she pleased for size and outline and certainly has the elegance of the breed combined with good bone. Excellent neck, firm backline, deep through the brisket, well sprung ribbing, correct croup and tail just right for length, set and carriage. Attractive headpiece with feminine expression; pleasing skull to muzzle proportions and planes, good eye and ear, clean cheeks, good underline to muzzle and scissor bite. She has pleasing angulation both front and rear and stands well naturally. Easy profile action with good extension. With a change of handler in the challenge, she didn’t quite go as well and had to settle for Reserve BOB.

1. Pocock & Pavlou’s Bubba Von Pao Eberjager with Tamzdane (Imp Fca). 15 mth old mantle dog. This lad pleased for overall type, presented a nicely balanced outline and carries lovely bone. Long, well arched neck, level topline, brisket of good depth, well sprung ribs, firm muscular loin and correct croup. Masculine head with pleasing skull to muzzle proportions, good planes, dark expressive eyes, ears set on high, breadth to muzzle, clean through the cheeks, good underline to muzzle and scissor bite. He stands true in front on very good feet and pleased for forechest too. On the move, he opened up nicely on the go around and carries himself well and he also pleased when coming towards. Very well handled to take BOB.

Bouvier des Flandres

1. Lambert & Eastham’s Ch Quiche’s Xplorer Treks to Bouvpilot (Imp Can). 20 mth old dog or pleasing type, well off for bone and masculine all through. Muscular neck of sufficient length, short back with firm topline, deep through the brisket, excellent ribbing, broad loin, firm croup and docked tail. Most impressive head and expression with flat skull, correct planes, super eye and ear, clean through the cheeks, powerful muzzle of correct length to balance and scissor bite. I liked his angles front and rear and he stands true in front and has an excellent forechest. When gaiting he is accurate fore and aft and moves out with easy stride of moderate length. Dense coat with pretty good texture.

1. Lambert & Eastham’s Ch Utah Rebbel Off The Eurisever with Bouvpilot (Imp Nld). I really liked the first three girls in this class, although quite different to one another. This 3 yr old was my winner and she was a delight hands on, pleased for overall type and presented a super outline. Slightly arched, muscular neck of correct length to give balance, short level back, good depth to brisket, well sprung ribbing, well-muscled loin and tail pleased for both set and carriage. Quality headpiece, full of strength yet retaining femininity; correct skull to muzzle proportions and planes, excellent eye and ear, powerful muzzle of good breadth and scissor bite. Good angles both ends and she stands straight in front on compact feet. A pleasure to watch on the go around with excellent carriage. Excellent coat texture but not quite as unkempt looking as would prefer due to presentation. BOB.

2. Simmons’ Chepam Queen of Swords. 5 yr old who I have done very well for previously and she still appealed today. She’s out of a larger mould than the winner, carries good bone and is compact in outline as desired. Muscular neck of correct length, short back but not quite topline of winner, brisket reaches the elbows, excellent ribbing, short in the couplings, firm croup and tail good for both set and carriage. She too is so good in head; with strength and power yet there is no mistaking her gender. Flat skull, correct stop, muzzle of correct length to balance, flat cheeks and scissor bite. Soundly constructed both front and rear and she stands true naturally on compact feet. On the move, she powers around the ring and gives her all. First class coat with unkempt appearance. Reserve BOB.

3.Brown’s Ch Chepam Xiomara VW

Briard

JD/B (5,1)

1. Wilkinson & Foster’s Fostebrie Black Thunder. 17 mth old black dog who is well made all through and so good hands on. Muscular neck of good length which is nicely arched, firm backline, good depth to brisket, correct ribbing, well-muscled loin, slight slope to croup and tail of correct length, set and carriage and with characteristic hook. Masculine headpiece which is well proportioned, slightly rounded skull, well defined stop, dark expressive eyes and scissor bite. Standing true in front, he certainly didn’t disappoint when gaiting, moving freely on the down and back and opened up well on the go around. Good quality coat. Reserve BOB.

2. Trimnell’s Vallonne Magical Flame. 7 mth old fawn bitch who obviously is very much a baby but I thought she shows great promise and she was another who was so good to go over. Arched neck of correct length to balance, firm through the topline, ribbing developing well for age, slightly sloping croup and tail of correct set, length and carriage. Head of correct proportions with feminine expression; super eye and ear, pleasing stop, nice dark pigmentation and scissor bite. I liked her angles front and rear and she stands nice and straight in front on good feet. Gaiting freely fore and aft and nice length of stride when viewed in profile too. Best Puppy. Pleased to see she went on to win the Pastoral Puppy Group and ended the day Reserve BPIS.

3. Southron’s Vallonne Magical Trick to Kastobri

LD/B (1,0)

1. Ryan’s Tant Mystique De La Chaume Du Bois Dieu to Badgerhurst (Imp Fra). 3 yr old black bitch. This girl has a good length of neck which is nicely arched, firm level back, moderate spring of rib, correct croup and tail of good length which is set and carried correctly and with the desired hook at end. Feminine head with good skull to muzzle proportions, slightly rounded skull, super expressive eyes, good stop and scissor bite. She stands well naturally in front and has correct feet but could have a little more turn of stifle. Pleasing action on the go around but could be more positive going away. Correct dry coat and excellent undercoat.

OD/B (4,2)

1. Fieldsend’s Ch Honey I’m Home Moravia Campanella at Starwell CW25 (Imp Cze) JW. Substantial 2 yr old fawn dog who is all male. He was excellent to go over and well-muscled all through. Arched neck of good length to balance, firm through the topline, excellent ribbing, brisket reaches the elbows, well-muscled loin, correct slope to croup and tail of good length and carriage and with characteristic hook at end. Excellent shoulder and return of upper arm, stands nice and straight in front on good feet and pleased for forechest too. Struggling with the floor surface to begin with but when settled opened up so well on the go around with excellent carriage. Quality coat. BOB.

2. Ryan’s Fostebrie Pure Binoche for Badgerhurst JW. Fawn bitch approaching 2 yrs who appealed for overall type. Muscular neck of good length, firm straight topline, good depth to brisket, ribbing carried well back, slightly sloping croup and tail correct for length and set and with desired hook. Most attractive head and expression with good skull to muzzle proportions, pleasing eye and ear, well defined stop and nice dark pigmentation. Not quite front angulation of winner but she stands true. Moves well enough all through and is nice and firm in hind action. Good quality coat.
