Kathryn Trevor – Trevorsilk

Many thanks to the committee for the judging appointment and of course to my steward Dereck Allsop who stepped in at the last minute and kept the ring flowing smoothly and for all the exhibitors, who could change places very easily at another show on another day, many thanks for my entry of Flatcoated Retrievers classes sponsored by NEFRA having had to wait until the end of the show on a very Hot day 

Puppy 1

 Tierling Llantrussa Hawk At Karaholme 8 months old male who is a good size his head shape was well moulded with a good dark almond shaped eye correct bite and a good reach of neck going into well laid back shoulders a nice deep chest he had plenty of bone good spring of rib with a level topline and wasn’t long in the loin he was in good coat and trimmed correctly he was enjoying his day and once settled he flowed round the ring with ease at the correct pace for him and I was pleased to award him BP he also did very well in the puppy group getting 2nd and 1st AV Gundog puppy

Salt Culcrieffs Ferntower Glen of Wetnoses 14 months old male at a good size just needs time to mature more, he has a typical male head with correct bite a lovely almond eye shape and correct colour he has a good reach of neck and correct laid back shoulders a good length of upper arm a good deep chest which gave a good spring of rib and he wasn’t too long in the loin a lovely bend of stifle good bone and nice tight feet set of tail was correct which was held at a correct height on the move, wasn’t into wagging today due to the heat his furnishings are slightly sparse but what he has is in perfect condition he showed true power without lumber movement I was pleased to give him RBOB he was also 1st in AV gundog Junior and 4th in Junior stakes

Scaife Flatcharm Bing A Ling at Shennanjoy 21 months old a slightly smaller dog than my first place but still a stunning boy lovely head and correct bite a good reach of neck leading to lovely placement of shoulders nice deep chest and good bone lovely level topline with correct set of tail which he carried correctly on the move slightly shorter in loin than my 1st place dog but still good great bend of stifle and lovely neat feet moved well around the ring and could easily swap places with 1st place on another day

Scaife Flatcharm Mr Fix It for Shennanjoy 8 and half years old male who really enjoyed his day out for a veteran he looked amazing in full feathering a super head with correct bite nice almond shaped eyes which were correct colour head leading to a good length of neck and correct placement of shoulders good depth of chest and correct spring of ribs correct length of loin his front legs were straight and true and the amount of bone was good strong level topline and correct set of tail well muscled second thigh and great turn of stifle moved around the ring well considering how hot it was pleased to award him BOB
