HUNGARIAN VIZSLA

PUPPY (1, 0 abs)

1 Mason, Clubb & Angus’ Oroshaza Bernard. BP.  

Balanced in profile and a lovely head with gorgeous expression from dark amber coloured eyes. Muscular neck with slight arch, good spring of rib, strong back end, excellent bend of stifle, carried his tail well on the move. I am sure his shoulders will drop into place more as he matures. Just 6 months old and very promising.

SPECIAL YEARLING (2, 0 abs)

1 Stalker’s Aranyvadasz Uccu for Kinharrachie (imp ROM).    

Won this class on steady movement, active ground covering stride, level tail carriage. Firm muscle tone throughout and was well handled. Pleasing forehand construction, correct lay of shoulder, strong upright pasterns, cat-like feet with short toes. Well sprung ribs, positive top line with slight rise over loin, strong back end. At 22 months of age she is coming together nicely.

2 Scott Legg & Scott’s Oakswarren Believe In Magic.    

Balanced outline, very pretty and feminine, lovely shoulders, matching stifles. Deep chest, straight front, strong bone. Very promising, but needs to settle. Preferred tail carriage of 1st on the move.

POST GRADUATE (3, 0 abs)

1 Murray & Parker’s Szelkiraly’s Foolproof JW.  

Pleasing masculine head, strong lengthy neck flowed smoothly to ideal body properties, well sprung ribs, deep chest, slight tuck up. Well developed thighs, correct amount of bend of stifle. Straight and accurate going away and coming back, very well handled.

2 Irving’s Oroshaza Reka.    

Was attracted to the balanced outline of this male, but preferred the movement of 1st today. Well angulated and a good spring of rib, short level back, deep chest, firm muscle tone, well handled.

3 Murray & Parker’s Szelkiraly’s Lovefool.

1 Mason & Clubb’s Oroshaza Bumble Bee JW TP3. BOB. BIS – well done!.    

Filled my eye, robust but feminine, loved the flow of her neck to withers and top line. Ideal lay of shoulder, upper arms to match, deep chest, evident breastbone, straight front, tight round feet. Really liked her body proportions, length and depth of body, slight tuck up, short level back and strong loin, well set on tail. Firm back end, good width of thigh, stifles nicely bent to match front assembly, short hind pasterns. Feminine lean head, longish skull, strong broad muzzle, very pretty features, kind expression from well shaped eye. Graceful, lively and obedient on the move, well schooled and well handled. Positive going away and coming back, a real showgirl, in wonderful condition, beautifully presented dense coat, a rich russet colour.

2 Murray & Parker’s True Magic of Skyrocket at Szelkiraly JW.    

Upstanding male with good length of leg, deep chest and compact body. Masculine head, lots of work in his face, loved proportions of skull and muzzle, alert expression showing intelligence, was attentive to his expert handler. Good length of neck, firm chest, prominent breastbone, medium boned straight legs, tight cat-like feet. Good spring of rib, well developed back end, nice short hind pasterns. Sometimes tended to stand a bit wide in front, moved with graceful ground covering stride, but a bit close behind when going away.

1 Thomson’s ITL Ch, LUX Ch, IR Sh Ch Sarscottah Eclipse C/W 25/26, W/W 26. BOB.    

Brown and white female, quality well balanced head, kind expression, well feathered long leathers. Pleasing front assembly, lovely layback of shoulder and equal upper arm, elbows close to body, firm forechest, straight legs. Brisket down to elbow, level back, good length and spring of rib cage, well muscled hind quarters, short strong hind pasterns. Moved with free stride and accurate footfall, very good forward reach and good drive from behind, positive going away and coming back, carried tail well on the move. Could usefully use a little more weight, but she had firm muscle tone. Well handled.

BRACCO ITALIANO

POST GRADUATE (2, 0 abs)

1 Atherton’s Calaiscroft Fait Accompli at Brevathos.    

Won this class on powerful even stride, and accuracy going away and coming back. Good reach in front and powerful drive from behind. Almost square in profile, good depth of brisket, slight tuck up, firm top line. Attractive masculine head with balanced properties, deep muzzle. Strong neck, ideal width of chest, straight front, strong bone. Well sprung ribs, well coupled broad loin, muscular hind quarters, nice turn of stifle. Very well handled.

2 Bowley’s Gunsyn Superstitious.    

Loved his head, length of muzzle equal to length of skull, kind expression, big nose, open nostrils. Plenty of forechest, straight front, oval shaped feet, strong toes. Deep brisket, rib cage with good spring and length, typical top line, slight slope of croup to tail set. Excellent bend of stifle, strong thighs. A tad longer in body than 1st, and not quite as positive on the move today.

1 Atherton’s Bracciano Never Again at Brevathos. BOB.    

A joy to watch this lovely bitch on the move, powerful and accurate, held herself well, correct head carriage just above level of back, paces straight and true, good reach in front and matching drive from behind. Equal length of skull and muzzle, large oval eyes with soft expression, pretty and appealing features. Correct shortish neck in proportion to the rest of her, excellent angulation fore and aft, deep chest, slight tuck up. Impressive rib cage, smooth line from croup to tail set. Strong oval shaped bone, slightly sloping pasterns, tight feet, well arched toes. Good bend of stifle, well muscled thighs, strong short hind pasterns. Well handled.

2 Bowley’s Sh Ch Gunsyn Ginspiration.    

This male was fit and muscular, but I preferred the ratio of length of body to height at withers of 1st. Attractive head, good balance of skull and muzzle, pleasing ear set, soft expression, deep muzzle. Deep brisket, very good length of rib cage, ribs well sprung, plenty of length of loin. Broad chest, elbows neatly tucked in, straight legs, oval shaped feet. Firm backend, well turned stifles, legs parallel when viewed from behind. Expertly handled.

1 Vallance’s Rowanmyle of Prudent Lore JW.    

Well handled bue belton female, good bone and tight feet. Appealing head with balanced properties, kind well shaped eye and deep muzzle. Lengthy neck, impressive shoulders, matching upper arm, deep brisket, pleasing width of chest, plenty of breast bone, elbows close to body, straight front. Level top line and excellent spring of rib, tail well set on, very good bend of stifle. Firm muscle tone all through, moved with accuracy and pleasing head carriage. In the challenge for BOB I preferred the balance of length of leg to depth of body of the Open winner.  

POST GRADUATE (1, 0 abs)

1 Vallance’s Ennydloc Yorkshire Liaison to Rowanmyle.    

Blue belton male, good depth of body and matching length of leg, excellent bone, lovely masculine head, kind disposition, happy and waggy, enjoyed his time in the ring. Clean neck well set into sloping shoulder placement, elbows well let down and close to body, deep chest of good width, straight front. Good spring of rib, pleasing length of rib cage, short loin. Adequate bend of stifle and short hind pasterns. Croup slopes off rather steeply to tail, this spoiled his outline a little. Sympathetically handled.

OPEN (3, 2 abs)

1 Johnston’s Wansleydale Beguiled of Loonbrae. BOB.      

Balanced outline, proportionate all through, well boned, has substance with elegance. Liked his quality masculine head, skull and muzzle of correct proportions, ears well set on, bright eyes, keen and friendly expression. Muscular neck of good length smoothly fitting into impressive forequarters, well laid shoulders and elbows neatly tucked in, straight legs, well padded feet. Deep brisket, short strong back, well ribbed, loin wide and deep, smooth line through slight slope of croup to tail set. Strong hindquarters, plenty of muscle tone, long from hip to hock, short from hock to ground, this enabled him to drive powerfully round the ring. Free and efficient stride, straight away and back, accurate footfall, used his tail well, looked as though he could go all day. Calm and sympathetic handler, they made a great team. Tri coloured, not in his best coat today, but could not be denied his win here.

AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL

Both black and white females, both 10 months old, I found out later they are litter sisters.

1 Gianntti’s Aftershine Don’t You Dare. BP. BOB.    

Gave her calm and skillful young handler a hard time, she was distracted and wanted to go to the other exhibit, but her qualities were there for all to see. Attractive outline, deep body, straight legs, pleasing angulation fore and aft. Pretty head, lovely length of neck which was well set into shoulders and flowed to top line. Well sprung ribs, broad hindquarters. Moved with effortless stride, covered the ground well, attractive head carriage.

2 Gianntti’s Aftershine Stand And Stare.  

Carried her head well, had natural poise and was well handled. Well shaped head, kind expression. Liked the proportions of her length of leg to depth of body, nicely sprung ribs, firm loin. Preferred the set of neck to shoulders and more definite bite of 1st.
